Jun had just started getting focused with whatever work was spread before him over the desk. At this instant, the detective sent a handful of documents in the hand of Jun’s assistant containing this guy that hounded poor August. Whereby he viewed details regarding the profile—his photo appeared together. Jun was shocked, and the event sent him into a daze; he did not know such a person, never saw such a person, but how could it be, that person and he were in the same frame? Seeing Jun shocked and puzzled face assistant said that he was also shocked seeing him with that man in the picture. The detective found out that you were close friends with him. His name is Mark, he is from next city.

Mark is a passionate and dedicated gym trainer with several years of experience in setting up and accomplishing the best goals that every client would want to have. He makes workout plans based on the needs of every individual, drawing his background from personal training, nutrition, and wellness to ensure each one stays motivated and is always moving toward their goals. He is known to be articulate with words and is a man of great positive energy; he will make one feel comfortable, motivated, and work out even when they don’t feel like it. Because he continuously improves his knowledge with new information on how to offer the best possible training experience, he is always abreast of the latest trends and methods in the world of fitness.

Jun wants to gather more information about this guy named Mark. He spaced out for moments and said to his assistant, “You’re going to have a long vacation.” With the smirk, it looks like he is planning something in his mind. His assistant with a trembling voice asked him, “Are you going to fire me from my position? ” Jun said, “You’re going to vacation for my work.” Then, the assistant asked doubtfully, “Do I have to be afraid of your plan inside of your head? ” Jun said, it’s not that hard. You will love this work for sure, smiled. Then Jun whispered the plan to him, and the assistant left to accomplish the mission they planned to execute. Jun left quite early from the office to campus to meet August. He picked up August and went to eat ice cream.

They enter an ice cream parlor and order August’s favorite strawberry. Jun smirked watching him. August cutely hides his ice cream from Jun sight, last time he sneaks and ate his ice cream. Seeing this cute act of August, Jun got butterflies in his stomach and gave him a flirty smile, sending him flying kisses with winky eyes. August said, “Doing all this cheesy stuff, you can eat my ice cream like before; I am not going to give it to you, NO!” and carried the bowl of ice cream back to Jun like a baby carrying something he loves secretly. Jun smiles and is lost in some thoughts. August slowly turns back to face Jun; he can feel that Jun is upset. He thought he made him sad since he was not sharing ice cream, so he shared one spoon of ice cream with Jun with a cute, pouting face.

August: “You can have one spoon of my ice cream since you bought it for me. I can give up one spoon of my favorite thing if it will make you not sad.”

Jun, returning to reality, saw August with a spoonful of ice cream held out to him, smiled at him warmly, and replied, “No, I am not sad but lost in some thoughts. If you continue to bug me with that adorable face, how could I ever say no?” And he took a bite and said, thank you for making my day special. Jun began flirting.

Jun: Each second counts to me, only to be beside you. My life is sufficient since you’re already in it. I am envious of that mirror where you look every day because the mirror gets a better look at your lovely face than me. I wish to be that mirror displaying your finest smile and inner desires.”

August teased him, saying, Ouch! You are a poet by just taking a spoonful of ice cream from my hand. You ought to kiss my hand for turning you into a great poet. Jun is thrilled about what he learned from him, so he is going to kiss August’s hand, but August withdraws his hand and turns around hastily again to Jun. August is muttering, how do I say that to him? Am I falling for his charm? Jun brought lots of ice cream for August and then left the ice cream shop. He dropped August in his dorm, kissing him on the cheek. August was shocked, blushed, and rushed to his dorm quickly, calling out “Bye” to Jun, smiled watching August run like a cute little boy running adorably with little feet. He headed to his house, imagining sweet moments of him and August in the ice cream shop.

Jun took out his phone and texted August, “Thanks for hanging out with me today.” August blushed when he read his text but did not say anything, just sent a picture of an ice cream and a blushed emoji.

Jun sends a heart, a heart, and a kiss emoji. Then he recalls the accident that occurred to him 1 year ago.

1 years ago

Jun woke up in a hospital bed. He was woken up by the voice that said, ‘Son, are you awake?’ and sobbing like a child. His dazed stares concerned his dad. He has been unconscious for seven days. Dr. Nike wept and said, oh my son, my heart would have stopped beating when I saw you getting hit by a car. He doesn’t appear to remember anything. His face became furiously upset with himself because he couldn’t remember anything. He buried his head in both of his hands, desperately crying, and gradually moved towards his hair, and he pulled at his hair by taking hold of it, and he said, “Why can’t I remember anything? Sorry, I don’t remember any of you.” Look at his son on this statue. Dr. Nike consoles him, “Everything will be okay. Don’t strain yourself. You don’t have to recall everything at once. You can recall slowly in your time; we have ample time for that. Memories that we can make new ones.”

The doctor who has June’s report in hand enters the room with some unsure expression; without speaking a word, he gives the report to Dr. Nike. Dr. Nike read the report, and he didn’t appear surprised, yet his face was concerned.

Report:

Retrograde Amnesia: This refers to the inability to recall memories from before a traumatic event or brain injury, and depending on the severity of the brain damage, it may be permanent in some cases.

Jun: What is on the report? Why are you silent? Can any of you tell me what’s going on with my brain?

Dr. Nick said, “It’s that your memories before an accident—you can’t recall it, and it could be permanent in some cases. Jun lost his control after hearing it; Dr. Nick just grabbed him and gave him a warm hug. Do not worry, son, for memories I’ll be helping you, but if you lose in such a way, I will not be able to hold myself back. I love you so much, my son. You came from death; I will not let you go once more. Even if I imagine being parted from you, my heart aches; it feels as if my heart were being torn from my body.

You’re my heart, son; hold yourself.”. Jun remains composed but still cannot believe that he has lost those memories with his dad, who loved him so much.

Back to present time

Jun remembers that photo of Mark and him side by side in the same picture. He questioned, is it possible that I forgot about him because of my accident last year? Do I ask my father about it? I suppose not; he is busy with a workload. I should find it myself. He took a shower, changed clothes, and went to bed.

Daniel (Jun’s assistant) travels to the city that Mark lives in. Daniel went to Mark’s gym as a client who wants to make his body fit and impress girls. He heads to the gym and asks the receptionist to join.

Daniel: Hi, I’d like to join this gym so that my body will be good enough to impress girls. Mark was giving some advice to his client, but he heard what Daniel had to say about the motivation to join the gym. He has a strange feeling and erupts into laughter. Thinking this guy is weird, how can any man use their body looks to impress anyone? Love is not about looks; it’s about how you make a feel loved to your loved ones. It’s magical feelings in the world. He approached Daniel, and the receptionist introduced Mark, saying, this is our gym trainer; just do what he tells you. They exchanged greetings.

Daniel turns and is leaving but remembers where he should stay. He is new in town. Went back to Mark and asked if they had an affordable accommodation where he could stay because he did not have a place to stay tonight either. He said to him, “I am just here for running some errands and got to know this gym is nice for fitness.”. I want to gain muscles. Wow! Imagine I’m in biceps, triceps, and abs,” lost in his own imagination. Mark snaps his fingers in the face of Daniel, “Get out of your own imagination and come back to reality. If you’re happy with your imagination, which would not be the case unless you exercise in the real.” Mark smirks playfully and says, “You look skinny to me; you don’t imagine your body gets unless you exercise very hard.” Mark couldn’t suppress his laughter and burst out laughing. HaHaHaHaHa! Daniel looked angry. Mark apologizes to him, “Sorry, I was imagining your skinny body with biceps and triceps, which is hilarious.

“You’re body shaming? Body shaming is a crime; do I call the police? Daniel said. Whoa! Buddy, let’s not go that far; sorry if I make you uncomfortable. I can make it up to you. How about I offer you a cheap room, which is in my house? If he doesn’t mind it, he should wait for him to finish classes. Daniel excitedly as though he hit the jackpot and gave a nod in agreement. Mark left to pursue classes. Meanwhile, Danile was too tired due to long travels, so he rested on the bench alongside the reception desk. He was tired, leaned his head against the wall, and fell asleep immediately. It was rather late; Mark’s client insisted on him getting his balanced meal ready. Having shooed away guest Mark, who visited Daniel when he saw him sleeping so peacefully, he smiles. He is watching him and getting ready to leave his belongings. Daniel was so cute that moment. Daniel was nearly going to roll to the side as he slept. Mark saw it and ran towards him and caught him by his head, and the contact awakens Daniel from sleep. He asks if Mark is finished with his work. Let’s go. Mark shook his head as if to say yes; they closed the gym and left for home. They get into Mark’s car and leave for his house. The entire way home, Daniel was sleepy and slept like a baby.

They arrived at Mark’s home, and Mark awakened Daniel and took him to his room, but Daniel was drowsy, and his eyes were halfway closed, staggering like a drunken person. He arrived at his room and immediately fell onto the bed, greeted Mark goodnight, and slept like a kid. Mark shut Daniel’s door and proceeded to his room. He showered, and he checked his social media for a little while. He was stalking August’s social media.

Mark, “I don’t know what type of bond you created with my heart. Every time I’m around you; I feel like my heart will leap out of my chest.”. I don’t know why my heart loves your adorable face so much; I can’t hold back anymore; I will make a move on you.” Mark recalls when he first saw August. It was 8 months ago when he went to a fitness event, which was organized by the orphan house by August’s father. That day, August was moving out to a dorm for college. Others are loading August stuff in the car. When August came out from his room, everything got in slow motion to Mark when he saw August. He is looking without blinking eyes; his heart is beating so fast with joy. He watched August greet everyone with a bright smile. He got in his car and left. Mark snaps out of it and finds himself puzzled. Why? He feels that way? It must be mistaken and continue with the event. When the event ended. He went back to his room and consoled himself that it is just attraction. Every time he denies more, he wants to see him. He decided to go to the hospital to see a doctor, thinking he was sick because he was feeling hot and his heart was beating so fast, like it would run out of his body, but he didn’t feel any pain. He is still confused with these symptoms of his heart and body.

The next day he went to see his regular doctor; he told him his symptoms. They ran some tests and told him that he is alright; don’t worry, it’s not that bad; your reports show everything is fine with you, your heart, and your body. Your heart is functioning properly, the doctor assures him; he doesn’t need to think too much. The doctor asks him when and how he gets this kind of sensation. This sensation he got when he was in the event yesterday, when I saw a boy greeting his family. Everything went into slow motion, and my heart was beating so fast and was rejecting my body. I thought it might be my heart not working properly, and I’m here to see you. The doctor laughed and told him that he is in love at first sight, but Mark denies it. He denies in his thoughts that he is in love with the boy! BOY! Shocked snaps out of his thoughts and runs back to his room directly.

Back to present time

He said that he tried many times to deny that he is not in love with some boy; he wants to fall in love with girls, but he fails to do so. He tried flirting with girls, but it didn’t go well, and his heart rejected falling in love with girls. That’s the reason he broke up with his girlfriend. He first felt that he couldn’t live without his girl, but everything changed. His relationship feels like he is trapped in some kind of small room with no air to pass through. He thought that he was making his girlfriend feel the same way, so he asked for a break. Relationships should be free from everything and lost in love, which lingers in the air, but it feels like suffocating both of them, so they thought it was better to not see each other and let go free to each from this suffocating relationship. After giving it deep thought, he made the approach, so he sent his friend to look after August and gave him a note with flower bouquets. Every time August got flowers with a note, they were sent by Mark using his friend’s help, who goes to the same college as August. When his friend told him that someone is calling August as his boy. That time he wants to make physical move towards August.

Next Morning

Mark wakes up to the sound of the alarm, and he starts his morning routines. He showered, made breakfast; after he was done with his breakfast, he got dressed, picked up his stuff, and headed to the gym. He sees Daniel’s room prior to heading to the gym; he was about to knock on his door but thought he must be asleep, and he did not wish to wake him, so he lowered his hand and went to the gym.

Daniel was woken up by the call, which was from Jun. He answers and tells him that he was successful in breaking into the gym and Mark’s home; he is now occupying his house as rent. He told him that his investigation is in progress. Jun agreed, and the line went off. When Daniel looked at his phone screen, his eyes were about to pop out and scream that his class begins today at 8 am and the time is 7:45 am. He swiftly got out his clothes and dressed and brushed at the same time; instead of a bath, he just applied more perfume and rushed to the gym.

When he reached the gym, the class had already begun. He dashed to class but was intercepted by Mark for late coming. This is your first day, and you are late. Mark said, and Daniel apologized to him, and he assured him that from the next time it won’t be repeated. Mark motioned with his hand to let him in. After class Daniel appears as if his soul departed from his body since he lacks energy by doing that much rigorous training for the first time. Daniel had never gone to physical training.

He was crawling on the floor and moving towards the reception desk, asking whether she knew of any good place nearby where he could get a good meal. He’s been saying that to her, but all she could hear was his breathing and his lips moving. She thought he needed water and gave him a bottle of water to drink, but he did not have the energy to hold the bottle and open its cap. Mark takes it and opens it for him put the straw and gives him to drink. He drinks and thanks both of them for helping him.

He is ready to have a nice meal, so ask them to suggest to him any nice restaurant. Mark was also about to have dinner, so he invited him to take him to that restaurant he frequents. Daniel was barely walking with his shaking legs. They reached the place Mark indicated, and he ordered cheesy cream pasta and coffee (cappuccino). Daniel puts his hand on the table and leans his head on it. Saying I’m about to die. Mark orders boiled green salad dressing with sweet and sour cream with chicken breast. After a few minutes, their orders arrived, and Daniel dug in; he was so hungry that he could eat a whole horse. Seeing him taking his food, Mark did not say a word to him after taking his meal; he feels as if his soul has entered his body. But still, his legs are paining him, and he was walking weirdly to the gym. He went to his room and took some rest, and he woke up at sunset.

Geez! I came to work; how can I forget that? But my legs still hurt. Change his clothes and go to the gym secretly; he wears black glasses, a hat, a wig, and a long coat before going to the gym like in the spy movie. He sat right across from the gym café and watched every move of Mark by hiding behind the newspaper, which he was pretending to read. Mark left early from the gym after getting a call on his phone. He leaves the gym when one boy approaches the gym door. They point to the place where Daniel had been sitting and watching him. When they cross the road and approach Daniel, he feels he is busted, but they pass over his table and proceed in, and they have come to drink and converse. They entered but still can hear their conversation. They discuss that Mark’s last note has already been mailed to him. Daniel was puzzled with what he meant by last note. His face subsequently becomes a scared one, and he thought they were about to kill August. Since he was so caught up, he failed to hear what they said. Argh! I fail to hear what they say afterward, but I must tell the boss that they are about to kill his boy. He went to his bedroom and told Jun through a call, and the call along with it, he also sent images he took of Mark and his friend. He was inside the room, sitting and receiving Daniel’s call. Here, upon hearing what Daniel told, his overprotective boyfriend mode was activated. He orders his bodyguards to observe August without his knowledge. He puts two of his bodyguards on this task. Jun’s dad noticed him panicking and inquired about what happened and why he is so stressed.

Jun: “Nothing, Dad. My friend asks for my bodyguards for a while; he thinks his life is in danger.”

Dr. Nick: “If it is true, your friend might just report to the police and ask for their protection.”

He told me that he does not know whether the threat is true or not, so he asks for my help, so I send my two best bodyguards to guard him without anyone finding out. His dad explained to him if this is a problem, just take help from police. Promise me, son, you won’t do such things and stay away from this case. If something goes wrong with you, then I won’t be able to live. Jun hugged his dad and consoled him, saying, don’t worry about me; you must take proper care of yourself. You are competing only in the hospital; I know your first concern is your patients, but you need to take good care of yourself too, and then you can take care of others if you are healthy. You are my one and only family, and I also do not want to lose you too. Dad, I love you more than anything else. They are having a good emotional family time, but the maid intruded to call them for dinner. Jun said Let’s dine together dad and they walked towards the dining area.

Mark was returning home, saw smoke coming from Daniel’s room, and knocked on the door anxiously. Several knocks later, Daniel opens the door, coughing. Mark took Daniel by the arm and went inside, and smoke is coming from the kitchen. He pulled out his water bottle and poured it on the pan. Earlier, he was worried about Daniel, but now he is furious because that smoke came from burning eggs, which he had cooked to eat.

Mark: Are you crazy? Are you trying to set the whole house ablaze and kill yourself in my house? Chastise him furiously. Daniel was that devastated, and his tears dripped down from his eyes. He apologized and sprinted toward the road alongside the park. He reached the park, sat on the bench, and cried alone. Here Mark was furious but still worried about him, so he set out to search for him. He is worried that he is a stranger here and can easily lose his way. He looks for him here and there for about 30 minutes; he finds Daniel in near park on bench, still sobbing. He approached him, but Daniel did not turn his face to him. Mark: “Sorry, I did that. That was my fault; I addressed you roughly before. Can you forgive me and tell me what happened that time?” Daniel turns reluctantly to Mark and tells him that he was hungry, and he did not know how to prepare food; he waited until his return home and took him somewhere to dine. He tried to go but was afraid of losing his way in the new city. He opened the refrigerator; he saw eggs and wanted to fry them, but it ended up like that.

Mark: “You don’t know how to cook, are you some kind of prince or what?”

Daniel: “No! I am not a prince, but my grandmother considered me like one of them. She fed me well every day with so much love.” And start weeping again, saying that I miss her and her yummy food.

Mark comes soft on Daniel and proposes that he can give him good food. I do not say to you that I cook like your grandmother, but it will fill your stomach. Daniel agreed with a nod, and they went to Mark’s room, and he cooked for him. Daniel is so happy with the view of nice-looking food in front of him; he begins eating. Ummmm, yummy. I love it. You are so kind; thank you so much. Exclaimed Daniel. When he heard that, Mark’s heart felt good and suddenly he said, ‘I promise you that I will cook for you every day.’ Daniel agreed without thinking, but Mark is unsure and wondered why he had told him that. I don’t know him, and we aren’t even close to cooking for him. What’s going on? Am I going crazy?

Daniel, “Thanks a lot for the dinner. I like your food, that you cook for me. Mark comes out of his daydream and says, ‘It’s alright; I’m happy you liked my food.’

Daniel: “Sorry, I didn’t invite you. Join me.”

Mark: ‘It’s okay; I am already full; I ate dinner with my friend; go ahead. Eat well.’ Mark is looking at Daniel’s smiling face while he eats and enjoys his meal. He said that he will shower and come back after a while; wish him to enjoy his meal. Mark went off to shower. Daniel had finished eating and did the dishes as well.

By the time Mark came out of the shower with wrapped towels. Daniel turns around and about to walk away but he slips his leg and tumbles onto Mark’s half-naked body. He tumbles onto Mark’s body, placing his hand on Mark’s chest. Daniel sees that Mark is half naked, and he is placing his chest and stands up immediately but slips and tumbles again onto Mark’s body. Blushing, he smiled shyly. I didn’t do it with intentionally, sorry, and slowly both stood up. Mark looked around and there was leakage of the drainpipe. He fixes it temporarily and will have a plumber come and repair it tomorrow. They both wished each other goodnight and went to their room to sleep.

Mark was in his bed, lying down, visualizing the moment that happened with Daniel. That moment when his heart would beat like a racing car. He is reflecting on what is happening; why is he falling for both of them (August and Daniel)? Maybe it happened because he and Daniel got skin ships at that very moment? He denies that his heart loves another man than August. Ugh! What’s going on with me? I have no idea what my heart wants. Whoa! How am I going to see him now on? Can I act normal in front of him? Mark couldn’t sleep with these kinds of thoughts.

The next day, Mark prepared Daniel’s breakfast and left it at his door with a note and knocked on the door and went to the gym. Daniel opened the door, but he doesn’t see Mark. He only sees his note and food dangling at his door. The note says, “Eat me and reach the gym in time.” Daniel did exactly what Mark asked for on the note. The days pass like this; their routine is to cook food for Daniel and go to the gym. It’s been almost a month that they’ve been doing it as a routine on a daily basis. Once Mark had also planned to visit somewhere; Daniel heard his call, so he approached Mark and asked him whether he was about to go anywhere. He told him that he is going to the neighboring city to run some errands. Daniel’s eyes are shining like a bright sun due to excitement. Daniel told him, my grandma and I live there. Can I go with you? I miss her so much (with puppy face). Mark did not want to take him but could not resist his cute puppy charm. In his thoughts he refuses him, but on his lips the word “yes” suddenly escaped. Daniel springs with joy. Argh! How do I say yes to him? He is mumbling, but for Mark, everything was silence; everyone just vanished from his eyes except Daniel. In Mark’s eyes, Daniel is bouncing around in slow motion, and light is emitting intensely within his body; he smiles. In the evening, after preparing to go out, Daniel called Jun that he and Mark are heading for the city.

On the morning of the following day, they both left for the next city. Daniel is so tired from all the traveling that he cannot help but sleep. He barely tries to keep an eye on Mark but is unable to do so. When he becomes awake, Mark is not with him. Shit! Where had he gone? Had I lost him? At that moment, Mark appeared with some snacks and ask Daniel, who did he lost? Daniel had not expected his arrival, and the sound of his voice startled him.

Daniel: Darn! You almost gave me a heart attack!

Mark: Whoops! When you woke up and could not see me next to you, did that give you a heart attack?

Daniel: Ugh! Don’t put yourself at the top; not even in your dreams would I have a heart attack not seeing you around. Daniel smiled, and Mark presented him with a snack. Daniel said that he is not hungry, yet his belly is not cooperating with what he says; it starts rumbling. He was embarrassed, and without another word, he took a snack, turned his face to the window, and chomped. Mark asks, where does his grandma live? First, he is going to leave him at his home and will go to meet his friend. Daniel tells him where he lives with his grandma. When they arrived, Daniel got down and ran to his grandma, hugged her, and said that he had missed her a lot. His grandmother teases him that she did not miss him and lived a peaceful and happy life when he was gone. Mark is so touched to see them like a happy family (smile). His grandmother turns to Daniel and asks him, who is that man whom he accompanied? Daniel gestured for Mark to approach his grandmother. Mark approaches and greets her! Daniel introduced Mark as his gym trainer and friend. They invite him to eat with them; he agrees. After having great food, Mark was about to take a leave; Grandma stopped him and gave him packed homemade cookies, saying, “You are the only friend ever my grandson brought home. I’m happy to meet you; please visit again; the door of this house is always open for you.”

They greeted each other goodbye. Daniel reports to Jun that Mark is about to make a move to August.
